To get a septic replaced, you will first need to get soil borings. This tests the soil in different areas of the property. This report goes to the health department and they issue minimum design specifications which tells the type and size of system required, trench depths, etc. You will then need to get a drawing showing where on the property the replacement system is proposed to be installed. This also goes to the health department for final approval.
